The Department of Clinical Neurosciences was established in January 2004 and consists of four units:
- John van Geest Centre for Brain Repair (Chairman: Prof. James Fawcett)
- Neurology Unit (Head: Prof. Alastair Compston)
- Department of Neurosurgery (Head: Prof Peter Hutchinson)
- The Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (Interim Director: Prof. Compston)
